Double Exposure Photography/Art Class

I am very excited to be teaming up with another artist, Caroline Coolidge Brown  the next two Saturdays.  We will be joining photography and painting.

This Saturday I will be teaching a basic photography class on how to take better pictures.  I’ll be covering things with exposure such as f stop, ISO settings, and shutter speeds for people wanting to learn how to manually set their digital SLR camera.  For all types of cameras, I’ll be covering basics in the importance of lighting, composition, and framing.  We are then going to Freedom Park for a “walk- about” where everyone can practice their newly learned skills.

Next Saturday, Caroline is going to take the pictures that people have shot and teach them how to make notecards.  Of course, this is an area of interest for me! She is going to teach us all how to take a photo and make a rubber stamp and transfer from it.  Each person will get all the supplies to make twenty notecards from their photos and the supplies to make more at home!

The cost for the two classes is $45.00 with a percentage going to a local ministry set on helping children with special needs and their families.  This is a ministry close to my heart and one that I am a member of.  🙂

Please check out Caroline’s website as well: www.CarolineCBrown.com.  If you would like to be on her e-mail list to check out her weekly art classes, you can e-mail her at mail@CarolineCBrown.com.

If you are local and are interested in this workshop, please message me!

I am planning on doing a series of posts this summer on basic photography skills.  If there is a specific skill you would like to see covered, please message me.

Have a wonderful day!
